Static Electricity
Hair that flies away at a single brush stroke, or stands out from the head when touched by a synthetic or wool fabric, is hard to style. The drier and cleaner the hair, the less weighed down it is, the more static charges build up.
Water seems the best solution in such cases: wet your hands and run them through your hair temporarily neutralizing the electric charges and your problem is solved, at least for a while. Static electricity is best treated with conditioners and moisture; therefore, we recommend applying some conditioner after shampooing. Use a conditioner or balm which leaves the surfaces of the hair smooth, reducing friction, and hence less static builds up on them. Occasionally, you may try to prevent static using hair cream masques, or try styling products –mousses, sprays, or gels, which control ‘flyaway’ hair. Get rid of synthetic combs and hairbrushes and replace them with ones made of metal, wood or natural hair. Avoid maximum heat setting when blow drying your hair.
