Katie Holmes, marriage wrecker?

It is no easy task building a top-notch career when you are the wife of Tom Cruise! More often than not, Katie Holmes finds herself the star of gossip mags and movie flops. However, she has just agreed to replace Liv Tyler in the comedy "The Romantics". In addition, the actress is taking on the role of executive producer. The film will be directed by Galt Niederhoffer on the basis of her own novel, which was published in June 2008, with filming starting in early November in New York.

The plot of "The Romantics" sounds very appetising: a maid of honour (Katie Holmes) has to hide her jealousy when her best friend (Anna Paquin) marries her ex-fiancé (Josh Duhamel). Will Katie bring any life experience to the role, we wonder?
