In a tight-packed press conference, Rotana (biggest Arab entertainment producer) has announced a project to turn Man of Impossible (most popular pocket novel series by Nabil Farouq) into a movie. Once scriptwriter Mohamed Hafzy is done with script, shooting starts immediately.
Adham Sabry, or Man of Impossible, is first Arab fictional character to have seen such a wide acclaim throughout Arab world. In fact, Adham Sabry is an embodiment of a long lost Arab knighthood in a modern but exciting cast. Contrary to countless forays and restless action, Adham Sabry is full of romance. His personal philosophy: never kill but only to defend a land or own faith.
Nabil Farouq (b. 1956), creator of Adham Sabry, is a Tanta native. He studied medicine but was early interested in writing and drawing. In 1971 he was second in a short story competition organized by Tanta Culture Palace. In 1974 he was first in an October War Wall Magazines competition.
Farouq worked as a physician for a year and half after graduation. In 1984 Modern Arab Foundation organized a completion in which Farouq participated, only to embark on a Man of Impossible journey and to have his efforts appreciated by a State Prize for Science Fiction Literature in 2007.
“Over a quarter of a century, I’ve lived Adham Sabry’s ups and downs. I’ve not even expected success,” says Farouq in press conference.
“As a matter of fact, projects have popped up now and then in order to turn Man of Impossible into a movie. Unfortunately, producers blocked all efforts. I ‘m happy for Rotana’s generous offer.”
Hafzy, scriptwriter, says he is honored Man of Impossible is to turn into a movie.
