Ashraf Zaki reveals the reasons behind not working with Luci and Dina

Head of the Actors Guild and President of the Theater Art House, Ashraf Zaki denied the latest rumors stating that he will not work with Luci and Dina in any state theater plays again.

Ashraf denied that he received any higher orders from sovereign entities on the necessity to preserve the Government esteem or being afraid of any fierce attacks from the Egyptian Parliament members, similar to the case when he cooperated with Fifi Abdo in “Rawaeh” play.

He clarified that all these rumors are not true as he has not been under pressure of any kind or from any entity, rather it depends on the state theater program, as the summer program has been scheduled which made it difficult currently to add new shows to the program. Therefore Luci and Dina’s shows were not cancelled but postponed for upcoming theatre seasons to be added on their map.

He concluded that he is content with his experience with Fifi Abdo, specially that it achieved unprecedented proceedings.

Worth mentioning that Asharf Zaki surprised everyone by canceling his agreement with Luci after they started the rehearsals of “Eskendrea Ayoouh” then he stopped the rehearsals of “Zay El Fol” play by Dina, performed at Balloon Theatre, it was mentioned that he took such procedures after he received criticism similar to the ones he received while Fifi Abdo’s “Rawaeh” play from the Egyptian parliament members, stating that the state theatre is famous for presenting respectable and decent shows and hiring respectable actors and actress, as the Parliament members say.
