Madonna, Britney joining forces again
Madonna has recruited Britney Spears for a virtual appearance on her upcoming tour.
There is footage being shot of Britney some time this week in conjunction with Madonna's upcoming (Sticky & Sweet) tour," Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, said recently.
"That is all the information I have available. The rest is 'a secret.' "
Rosenberg denied reports that Spears, 26, is shooting a music video.
Madonna guest starred in a music video for Spears' single "Me Against the Music" in 2003.
Madonna, 49, will kick off her tour August 23.
In other news, Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph and Jive Records, said the singer, 26, "is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album.
"She’s working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters and we’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far. No album release date has been confirmed yet," read the statement.
In June, her vocal producer and co-writer Jim Beanz first broke the news to Usmagazine.com.
"Britney is amazing," Beanz said.
Though the singer has had her share of drama, "we never see anything but positives out of her," he added. "Everyone has personal stuff, but a true professional doesn't bring it into the studio."
Spears' last album, Blackout, debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The first single "Gimme More" was her most successful single in the U.S. since "...Baby One More Time."
