Majid al Mohandess’ album release is decided to be on July the 16th.

The Iraqi singer’s Rotana-label album will feature an 8-minute track composed by the Saudi veteran musician Mohamed Abdou. The song will be titled "Ozkoreni", which is a poem.

The story behind the collaboration was told by the two of them when they appeared together on the TV show "Tarattatta". Al-Mohandess quoted Abdou saying at one point of their initial talks "you are such an artist, and otherwise I wouldn’t give you this piece", a statement that was memorable for Al-Mohandess.

The 13-track album also features an Iraqi mawwal (folk ballad) by songwriter Sadoun Al-Gaber; 7 tracks in Iraqi dialect; 5 in Arabian Gulf; and one in Egyptian by composer Salah Al-Sharnoubi.

Al-Mohandess said his compatriot Kazem Al-Saher was mourning his mother when he was working on the album, and hence his absence among the album composers.
