Diana Haddad to sing with Whitney Houston and debut acting
In an exclusive interview with Diana Haddad, she unveiled her plans to debut acting in cinema, with 2 screenplays now offered to her.
One movie, “Al-Moghamra” (The Adventure) is to star Ezzat Al-Alaily, the other, “Fadiha” (Scandal) directed by Inas Bakr, explores typical showbiz scandals.
According to the Lebanese singer, a duet will bring her together with Whitney Houston, and it’s to be featured in Haddad’s forthcoming album.
Haddad explained that she met with Houston at Morocco’s “Mawazine” festival, and is currently preparing for the project.
Haddad lamented the entertainers’ tarnished image which she blamed on the media which, she argues, is making stars out of mediocrity invading the music scene. She also slammed entertainers’ shameless proliferation of work in commercials saying art should rule over business.
Speaking recently to Egyptian Channel One’s “Al-Le’b ma’al Kobaar”, Haddad disproved divorce rumors, saying that her “very jealous” husband, Emirati producer Suhail Al-Abdool knows how to show restraint with fans and media exposure.
