How To Revamp Your Wardrobe

fashion

Is your wardrobe stuck in the past? How long has it really been since you updated it? did you become fashion-lazy? This is clearly one of the biggest fashion sins. But don't worry, it isn't hard at all to get your wardrobe back up to date.

Here's how:

The place to start when it comes to revamping your out-of-date wardrobe is to begin by changing the most basic items. In fact, sometimes this might be all you need to do. For example, you may simply need to invest in a new belt or hat, or even just a pair of shoes. Other times, you can simply change the color of the shirt or t-shirt you usually match with your favorite jacket and jeans.fashion3-150

There's no reason at all to get anxious and start rushing out to the stores and spending your savings in fear of being unfashionable. Learn to be creative, study your wardrobe carefully and try to decipher what will work this season and what needs some help in order to work. In fact, more than likely you already have most of what you need, so try and work with what you already have.

Easy and economical ideas

Some easy and economical options are to dye an item of clothing that's stuck in last season's coloring. Dye it black, because black is always fashionable. And there you have it – a great item in a classically fashionable color!

Another easy and economical option is simply to alter the length of an item, shorten a skirt or cut off some jeans. These are great ways to revamp your out-of-date wardrobe and best of all they are cheap alternatives and creative and completely unique ones too.

Organizing and planning ahead

You should always invest time at the beginning of each new fashion season to study and analyze your wardrobe so that you can accurately assess what clothing items should stay, what should go, and what should be altered.

Don't throw things out until you are really sure that they cannot be salvaged and restyled. You may want to create an unsure pile of clothing items and make a decision later.

But before you do anything at all make sure you have studied your fashion magazines and done a round of window-shopping first. You need to be fully informed about what is going on this season before you can make a decision about the items in your wardrobe. Remember that there are always fashion items that never go out of fashion or style and you should always cherish these items. Of course, they may need a little up-keep.

They may need to be altered and restyled in some way – new buttons, new length or color, but these classic items will always be the basis of your wardrobe. You know what they are – they are the little black dress, the classic denim jacket, and the black pants.

Keep them and revamp the rest! This is the key to keeping your wardrobe up to date each and every season.
